Health & Safety Advisors and Consultants – Roles and Responsibilities
As advisors and consultants will join the company with a wide variety of previous experience including specialist knowledge, the duties associated with the roles below will be flexible in order to allow each individual to fulfil their potential.
We will provide FULL Training and mentoring in this role in order to support you and ensure the best service to our clients

Each advisor/consultant looks after around 40 membership Service clients. This involves:

- Providing Health and Safety advice to our Membership Service clients
- Undertaking Initial and Annual Review Meetings with Membership Service Clients
- Writing up reports following the Annual Review including providing advice on compliance with the safety management system provided and updating H & S Policies.

Workplace Inspections
The role involves visiting a variety of workplaces including construction sites and manufacturing environments.
We will provide you with full training to undertake these inspections using our bespoke software system: SafetyNet

Consultancy Work
Our clients ask us to undertake a broad variety of consultancy work, which may be office based or carried out at their premises. Such work includes:

- Producing risk, COSHH and manual handling assessments
- Assisting with SSIP accreditations for our clients
- Answering client’s queries on any health and safety matters
- Writing construction phase plans and other site based documents
- Conducting accident investigations
For applicants with a higher level of experience/qualifications, there is the potential to progress to the level of Consultant.
Safety Consultant Additional Duties
- Assisting with mentoring of others
- Undertaking more demanding/ diverse/ larger clients
- Being involved in CDM Support work
- Undertaking more technically demanding work such as audits and fire risk assessments
- Tutoring on higher level (management and director) accredited courses.
- Tutoring on more technically demanding non accredited courses
- Undertaking occasional business growth work
