This year, the forum continued to grew to over 270 members, featuring an impressive line-up of speakers, exhibitors, and cutting-edge developments aimed at supporting our members in their professional roles.

The event opened with a membership update from Zoe Drew CMIOSH, covering key changes in legislation included reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment of their employees, training opportunities and company developments. This was followed by an analysis of national health and safety statistics, presented by Karen Fanner CMIOSH, providing members with actionable insights to drive improvements in their workplaces through the health and safety at work statistics 2024.
Guest speakers from Investors in People shared their expertise on fostering a people-first workplace culture, highlighting how businesses can create environments where employees thrive.
Alistair Dornan from Gallagher Insurance addressed the topic of workplace stress, focusing on the legal responsibilities of business leaders in managing pressure and performance within organisations.
Our in-house consultants also took to the stage, offering thought-provoking presentations. Alec F. J. Arnold discussed the importance of leadership in shaping health and safety culture, emphasising mindset, behaviour, and motivation as critical components of success.
Drew Underwood delivered an insightful presentation on ‘50 Years of the HSE’, exploring the evolution of the Health and Safety Executive, significant regulatory milestones, and its impact on workplace safety today.
A highlight of the event was the introduction of the highly anticipated SafetyNet Mobile App, an innovative workplace safety app designed to support compliance and risk management. Shaun Hall from KodaSoft provided a detailed overview of its features, explaining how it has been developed with member feedback in mind to enhance safety processes across multiple platforms.
The event was concluded by the handout of awards to all our members who scored 100% from their most recent annual review meeting.
